CSUCI Exhibitions Gallery
Current Show: TRICHOTOMY
May 1 through May 9, 2008.
Reception: Thursday, May 1, 6-8PM
What would happen if creative individuals in a range of fields worked independently
to solve similar challenges? Where would the responses cross over? Where would
they differ? “Trichotomy,” as the title indicates, attempts to answer
these questions with an experimental gallery exhibition incorporating three distinct
media – creative writing, graphic design, and photography.

“ Trichotomy: One Song—three visions” has invited 63 writers,
designers, and photographers, to respond to 21 specific musical selections. Songs
such as the Beatles classic, “I Am the Walrus,” Andrew Bird’s “Don’t
Be Scared,” and Feist's I Feel It All” will provide the impetus for
a diverse collection of writing, design, and photography. This interdisciplinary
collaboration provides a captivating look at how inspiration is captured through
music.
