art departments at other universities, CSUCI provides an intimate

artist.
Another positive aspect of the CSUCI Art Program is the cross-pollination of
the art students across the disciplines. Whether a graphic designer, animator,
sculptor, painter, photographer or video/film artist, students from the various
artistic specializations interact in stimulating classroom situations as well
as in the warm social environment of the CSUCI Art Complex. Because CSUCI is
a new campus, the Art Complex is equipped with a new, dedicated state-of-the-art
computer lab, loaded with powerful Macintosh computers boasting the latest
graphic art, digital video, and computer animation software applications ranging
from Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to Final-Cut Pro, Maya 3D animation and
virtually everything in between. In addition, the entire Art Complex building
is a fully wireless hub, providing Internet and network access to your personal
laptop computer as well. Every student enrolled in courses utilizing the Art
Complex computer lab has their own digital storage space on the ÒArt ServerÓ and
access to the finest digital art equipment anywhere.
The bright and spacious Painting/Drawing and Sculpture/Ceramic studios of the
Art Complex are located adjacent the beautiful ÒSouth QuadÓ and are also accessible
for your personal use between scheduled classes. There are so many reasons
